China has several key shopping periods throughout the year:

Chinese New Year (Spring Festival) — usually in January or February, this holiday period comes with major sales and promotions.

"618" (June 18) — a traditional sales event on platforms like JD.com and Tmall.

Major platforms' anniversaries (e.g., March 3 for Xiaomi) — some brands offer exclusive discounts around their foundation dates.

Black Friday (China's version of Black Friday) — although originally a U.S. event, many Chinese online stores now participate in late November.

April sales — discounts related to the Qingming Festival and the start of the spring shopping season.

The minimum calculated weight for air delivery is 0.3 kg. The minimum cost is $4.35. The cost per 1 kg is $14.50.

Important: if the volumetric weight exceeds the physical weight by 1.3 times or more, the formula is used:

(Volumetric weight − Physical weight) ÷ 2 + Physical weight

The formula for calculating volumetric weight:

Length × Width × Height (cm) ÷ 6000

If the volumetric weight does not exceed the physical weight by 1.3 times, the physical weight is taken into account for the calculation.

In China, parcels are not consolidated — they are immediately prepared for shipment to Ukraine, which ensures the fastest possible delivery time. The minimum chargeable weight for air delivery is 300 g ($4.35). Consolidation is available at the Kyiv warehouse when using Nova Poshta for delivery. To combine your parcels, select “Consolidation in Kyiv” when registering your tracking numbers. Once all packages have arrived in Ukraine, click “Deliver”.

For shipments that do not exceed the equivalent of €150, no customs duties are charged. If the value of the ordered goods exceeds €150, you will have to pay an additional 10% duty on the excess amount + 20% VAT. Example: Item value — €170 10% duty on the amount exceeding €150: (170 - 150) × 10% = €2 20% VAT on the excess plus the duty: (170 - 150 + 2) × 20% = €4.4 Total payable to the state — €6.4

1. Restrictions on Air Delivery of Branded Goods
Ukrainian Customs closely monitors goods bearing trademarks listed in the Customs Register of Intellectual Property Rights (ORIP). If your parcel is found to contain more than 2 identical units of the same brand, it may be stopped for inspection.
Shipping up to 2 units of each brand is permitted—and only for personal use, not for resale.

• - 2 Apple smartphones - ok.
• - 3 iPhones of the same generation - already a risk of delay.
• - 1 MacBook + 1 Apple Watch - ok.
• - 5 identical watch straps - customs will suspect commercial activity.

2. Which brands are under special scrutiny?
Almost all the world's top brands are included in the OPIV register. Here is a partial list of categories and examples:

• - Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei, Sony, Lenovo — smartphones, tablets, laptops, accessories.
• - Nike, Adidas, Puma, Crocs, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Chanel — clothing, shoes, bags, accessories.
• - PlayStation, GoPro, JBL, Bose, DJI — electronics, game consoles, speakers, drones.
• - L’Oréal, Estée Lauder, Johnson & Johnson — cosmetics, personal care products.

3. What is considered "for personal use"?
Your parcel is considered non-commercial if:

• - up to 2 identical units of the same brand;
• - the parcel is not systematic;
• - the recipient is an individual;
• - not paid for by a company or sole proprietor;
• - there are no signs of resale (large batch, packaging, invoice, etc.).

If any of the above points are not met, customs may suspend clearance.

4. Important: Liability for Violation
Violating the rules can have serious consequences:
Article Article 476 of the Customs Code of Ukraine – a fine of UAH 17,000 + confiscation.
Article 229 of the Criminal Code (property).
